Description: Provides a managed printing service to CSE units, including print servers, print quotas, and access controls.

Included:

• Print server management: our current print servers use PaperCut software on a Windows Server 2016 platform, with an assisting Ubuntu CUPS server to facilitate Linux printing.
• Supports Windows, macOS, and Linux clients.
• PaperCut supports quotas, and we may discontinue quota support at some point in the future.

Not Included:

• Unauthenticated printing: we require a username & password to use our print servers.
• We do not support cash accounting or charge-backs for printing. OIT’s Pharos service is an option for clients who need managed printing with financial features.
• This service does not include setup or configuration of the physical printers — that is handled by other CSE-IT services.
