Description: Provides software license server support for CSE instructional lab-related use.

Included:

  • Vendor management and liaison functions, to support license installation and renewal.
  • Installation of the license on the server, including testing and troubleshooting as necessary.
  • Limited testing of the client software as license issues arise.
  • Monitoring and reporting on license use.
  • Documenting the license server’s configuration and use for both IT support and the human users of the software.
  • We can arrange vendor connections to license servers, but that is not provided by default.

Not Included:

  • We don’t pay for the software license(s) — generally it’s your software, we’re just supporting it. We can facilitate the purchase via other CSE-IT services.
  • Packaging and installation of client-side software, and troubleshooting issues unrelated to licensing, is handled via other CSE-IT services when appropriate.
