Description: Provides a set of standard tools regarding shared file and website storage, access group management, collaboration tools, and email list provisioning which allow instructors to conveniently provide storage for class projects, their own class-related website, and broad communication tools for student-instructor interaction.

Included:

• Instructions for, and access to, the University’s standard learning management system — currently Canvas.
• Instructions for, and access to, the University’s standard collaboration tools, e.g. Github.
• An initial 5GB/person for class-related project storage is available upon request. Requests for additional storage will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
• Setup and maintenance of Unix/AD access control groups, membership in which is authorized by the instructor and/or their delegate(s).

Not Included:

• Shared file storage is accessible only via CSE Labs computers, by console or via SSH.
• Support for Canvas in CSE is a joint effort involving both CSE-IT and OIT. We escalate support queries to experts outside CSE-IT when necessary & appropriate.
