Description: Provides network-related consulting, implementation, request fulfillment, and incident resolution for CSE classes.

Included:

  • Consulting for class-specific network needs.
  • Peer- and partner-level interaction with OIT, including vendor/ project management to facilitate class-specific network implementations (e.g. WiFi for IoT project).
  • Providing network support as defined in the CSE-IT Standard Networking service for class-specific needs and purposes: DHCP, DNS, VPN, VLAN assignments, firewalls & proxies, network troubleshooting, etc.
  • Works with the CSE-IT Customized IT Support for Class service to facilitate those projects.

Not Included:

  • In-wall wiring or class-specific network hardware. We may engage vendors or service providers when necessary.
  • OIT-provided network infrastructure (e.g. DNS & DHCP services, eduroam networking, etc.) is maintained by OIT, and request fulfillment and incidents may be beyond CSE-IT’s control. We work with them, but they’re responsible.
